Regular season
Ian and Jake clinched with two weeks to spare. The week-11 notes had Return of the Mack at 8–2. The playoff preview had Jake as the 1-seed and Ian as the 2-seed. The last two chairs were a fight. Seif was on a three-game stretch into the 4-seed. Neil backed in again — the notes said “again, see last year” — with Watson shaky and Conner hurt, no huge week since week 8.

The first obituary block on the season page copy-pastes CJ’s boom-or-bust write-up onto House on Tyreek Hill. The later obituaries correct it: Jake was the 1-seed, Hot Lockett was CJ. This page uses the later block.
Who won the draft
No pick list. The awards are the board.
Won the year on a player: CMC, on Ian’s playoff team. Jake was writing 30 points in the lineup before Sunday. Only Lamar came close in total points. Premium at RB, deep at QB, CMC gets the trophy.
The miss the notes named: Juju — no boom game, unstartable for weeks, the clear most-disappointing. Honorable mentions Baker and OBJ, David Johnson, Gurley. End-of-the-road plaque: Gurley, with Brady / Fitzgerald / DJ in the same paragraph.
Brightest future: Lamar, on Kris, outside the mix until late, an 11th-round keeper if the rules let him. Honorable mentions: Chark, Chubb, CMC, Cook.
Won the week
The notes saved one number worth a plaque: Jake’s 212. He apologized for the brag in the playoff preview and then used it as evidence he could survive a huge week from Seif. The rest of the weekly highs did not make the archive.
Who lost the season in November
Ian “slipped a bit over the second half” and still went in as the 2-seed — the notes then mixed his name into the Return of the Mack preview because that was his team. Neil failed to put up a big number after week 8 and backed in anyway. PJ was 3–9 with playoff points. Joel was 1–11 by the time anyone wrote an obituary.
Kris was written off, stood up for himself in the group chat, won three straight, and still finished 5–7. The brother-on-brother trade the notes mention is the hole he was trying not to take into the Slutler pool.
The wire, the wallet, the trades
Best move: Ian’s multi-step. Drafted WR depth including Keenan Allen, added Chark, flipped Allen to Neil for Waller (Neil had TE surplus), then replaced Allen with DeVante Parker. The 2020 awards page still pointed at this trade as last year’s winner.
Worst move: Neil trading Nuk to PJ. Hopkins and Sony Michel for Singletary and Fuller. Fuller was already off Neil’s roster by awards week. Singletary had one week over 15. Hopkins was WR4, 15+ every week since week 4. The honorary mention was “see worst move.”
Andy’s Ekeler value and a late flip show up in his obituary as the thing that might print consolation money. David Johnson “collects another victim” on Tony, with Thielen and Engram in the same sentence.
Playoffs
Two-week rounds. Bottom seeds upset the top seeds. Jake wrote that it was “not that toooooo surprising.”

Slutler
Joel. 1–11, last in points, “the huge favorite to be the Slutler, but there’s still life.” The finale preview was 10 Breesy Like Sunday Morning vs 7 Rub a Dub Dub (Tony). Jake picked Tony −23 because Joel could not field a healthy lineup. Brees vs Dak, Gurley maybe showing up, Emmanuel Sanders boom-or-bust.
The notes do not post a box score. A 1–11 last-place team against a 5–7 8th-in-points team is as close as 2019 gets to a confirmed cake. This page treats Joel as Slutler and Tony as the other finalist.
Team portraits
Matt Seifert — Bear Down — Champion
4-seed, three-game heat check, Thomas and Godwin, a QB carousel that somehow did not kill him in the semis. Beat the 1-seed and the 3-seed. Second title. The notes said wait ’til next year at everyone else.
Neil Calvert — Unpaid Bills — 2nd
Backed in, traded Nuk, still made a final. Aaron Jones was the swing. Jake had him by 2. He did not get the 2.
Jake Bowen — House on Tyreek Hill — semis
1-seed, 212, defending champ energy, predicted himself through. The 4-seed had other plans. He wrote every word of the funeral.
Ian — Return of the Mack — semis
8–2, CMC the MVP, Allen-for-Waller the best move, clinched with two weeks left. Out to Neil. The 2-seed that looked like the team of the year in November.
Chris Johnson — Hot Lockett — 6–6
3rd in points, boom-or-bust, Mike Evans as the season in one player. “Woulda been a terror in the playoffs.” Was not in the playoffs.
Andy — Rick n MoreTD’s — 6–6
4th in points, Mahomes reach, Ekeler value. Playoff scoring on a 6–6 record. The consolation dark horse the notes actually liked.
Tony — Rub a Dub Dub — Slutler finalist
5–7, 8th in points. David Johnson, Thielen, Engram, then Dak and Fournette late. Drew Joel in the finale preview.
Kris — Morning Chubb — 5–7
Written off, three-game streak, Lamar as the keeper dart. The notes hoped the brother trade did not dump him into the cake. It did not. Joel was already there.
PJ Hardcastle — DK Metca$h — 3–9
5th in points, 3–9. Russ, Nuk via Neil, the original record-vs-points obituary. He won the league the next year.
Joel Hernandez — Breesy Like Sunday Morning — Slutler
1–11. Gurley, Juju, Brees, a healthy-lineup problem that lasted all year. The notes thanked him for staying in the chat. Then they fitted the crop top.
