The wire, the wallet, the trades
Eleven trades, three of them in week 1. The league opened the season by rearranging itself.
The trades that actually mattered:
- Week 1, Andy ↔ PJ: Andy got Thielen and Hunt. PJ got Zeke and Higbee. Opening-night swap.
- Week 1, Jake ↔ Andy: Jake got Swift and Landry. Andy got Jamaal Williams and Robbie Chosen. Swift on the finals team.
- Week 1, PJ ↔ Neil: PJ got Tyreek and Tannehill. Neil got Murray and Gus Edwards. Tyreek 47.6 in week 4 already wore the new laundry. The awards-season MVP on the 1-seed’s roster.
- Week 7, Neil ↔ Ian: Neil got Diggs and Pitts. Ian got Waller and Sutton. The 6-seed shopping for a spark.
- Week 7, Kris ↔ Jake: Kris got Conner, Antonio Brown, Claypool. Jake got Chubb, Gaskin, Julio. Jake’s RB room after Henry.
- Week 8, CJ ↔ PJ: CJ got Higbee and Damien Harris. PJ got Gronk. The 1-seed adding a name.
Joel sent Burrow to Ian for Edmonds in week 7 — Burrow scored 9 draft-class points for a reason. Jake also grabbed Michael Thomas and later Pittman went to Andy for Toney. The midseason notes were thinner than later years; the transaction log is the recap.

Last of everyone, playoff teams included. The midseason Slutler watch had Andy 10th. Andy climbed. Kris did not. He wore it again in 2023–24, and again in 2024–25, and then he won the league.

1,799 PF, JT 53.4, Tyreek from Neil in week 1. The 1-seed that lost both semis weeks. Took 3rd. The points were a year early for the three-peat.

Cook at 1.02, Brady, Deebo, Chase. 8–5. Week 15 of the semis was 96. The third title was one year later.

CMC at 1.01 for 128 points, Mahomes, a 172 in week 13, 7–6. One win from a five-team 8–5. Burrow scored 9 and then got traded to Ian.

Opened by mailing Tyreek to PJ. Added Diggs in week 7. 6–7 with 1,588 PF. Playoff scoring, not a playoff record. Then 534 consolation points.

Jefferson at 1.04, Kamara, 1,717 PA. 6–7. The consolation 176 and 164 were the best two weeks of his year, in January.
Andy — Mixon it up wit ya Mama — 8th
Herbert, Mixon, Zeke, CeeDee, a top-four draft class, 5–8. The midseason notes had him 10th. He climbed out of the cake and onto the 8th-place step.
