Hell froze over this year with Kris running away from the league. He’s apparently a big believer in if you ain’t first, you’re last. We make jokes, but I can’t remember a team feeling so far out ahead of the pack in years. Though the details of past seasons seem to drift away, unless going back through the league history in Sleeper - should do this sometime, it’s pretty funny to see teams from even just a year ago.

🥺 Biggest Letdown
Lamar Jackson - Last year’s FFB MVP, now a total dud.
First his hammy, then every other part of his leg, so he’s banged up - but it’s almost worse that he’s playing, since Seif can’t bench him.
Also ironically, Seif won his last three, despite Lamar’s last three weeks: QB29, QB25, QB27.

🤯 Most Surprising (In a Good Way)
George Pickens - Kris just fucking cooked in the draft - here with Pickens at pick 6.09. Pickens is WR2 on the year and has made Dallas’s offense extremely well distributed, hard to predict and, well… just very good.

🌟 The Future Is Bright
Drake Maye - The New England area had quite the bright sunshine this year, with Cam Skattebo and Jaxson Dart in New Jersey, and Drake Maye’s arrival in Foxboro. The Giants miss out here, but I had to mention them. Mostly, they’re both just psychos, so they’re gonna be hurt a lot (Puka says, welcome!)
At the end of last year, the media couldn’t stop gushing over Maye, but I hadn’t seen enough to believe it was true. Now I kinda do. Dude throws a mean ball, and that’s a big deal for quarterbacks.

🏆 Most Valuable Player
JSN - MVP typically goes to one of the guys at the top, and this year, Kris lapped us, only losing three games, where six was next best. While JT has more points on the year, there’s a tip of the cap to Kris on this one, for pulling the trigger on JSN at pick 3.02, causing us all to gasp. But he was freaking right. Pair that with JSN’s ascension, and him being a Seahawk (propelling them, too). That sounds like Kris’s MVP alright.
He also just got his dud out of the way in a week that Kris didn’t need to pay attention to, surely to come back hot in the playoffs.

5th Place - Neil Calvert
Neon Keon (7-6)
Regular Season Highlights Last year CJ won 6 six straight, but missed out on the playoffs in a tiebreaker. Same story here. We’re in a simulation.
Wish it wouldn’t have happened the way it did, after Neil’s big midseason run, where he held it all together despite the crazy FAAB spending which made it all happen.
The big problem was the revolving door of RB injuries, IMO, as he was clearly close via great years from Maye and McBride, in particular. Tetairoa looks like he’ll be a nice, likely keeper next year.
Playoffs - Round One Preview & Predictions

#1 Kris vs. #4 Jake Here we go again. Jake enters as #4 for the second year in a row. Kris making his first playoff appearance as the #1 seed. Kris’ team has been pretty solid all year. He also hasn’t had to deal much with injuries. Coming into this match up on a down week scoring wise and his team is showing that it isn’t quite 100% match up proof. Jake coming into this with a hot hand. I think the biggest issue for Jake is going to be his sit/start. He has a solid roster but selecting the right guys is going to be crucial to knock off Kris.
Players to Watch King Henry when the weather gets cold he gets harder to tackle as other players make more business decisions on bringing him down. Will the king take Jake to the next round?
Jonathan Taylor with the hairline fracture for the QB Danny Dimes is he going to take a bigger load or will teams continue to focus on shutting down the run and Kris’ season?
Prediction I got Jake taking Kris in an upset here. Jake 294 to Kris 276.

#2 PJ vs. #3 Joel I can’t imagine the trolling going on in their DMs this week. Bitter rivals face off with a chance to go for the ship.
Joel smashed PJ by 50+ in week 10, but I think it’s gonna be much closer this time around. If Stafford and Adams can go together, Joel will be sitting nice. But he’s gotta avoid some guys who threaten for 30+ any week, in Cook, Rice and Ceedee.
Players to Watch For PJ, Baker Mayfield is back in the playoff lineup, after he rode him last season, but he’s been mid this year. Also, Kenneth Walker starting after being waived by Joel, near the end of the season.
For Joel, Amon-Ra St. Brown has got to remain healthy - but as I write this, I just saw him running a route in warmups for TNF - so fire it up! Devin Neal is Joel’s equally weird RB2 this week, picked up just last week.
Prediction Joel stops the three peat hopes . PJ 263 to Joel 271.
