Regular season (weeks 1–13)
Andy sat at 9–3 heading into week 13. Then CJ beat him, PJ beat Neil, and the 1-seed flipped on points. Four teams finished 7–6. The last playoff seat came down to Jake and CJ, separated by 2.18 points after Jake had already lost on Thanksgiving.

Joel’s 1,764 PA is 135.7 a week. The league scored on him like it was a civic duty. Tony opened 0–8, then spent November spoiling people who still had something to play for. Neil had playoff points (1,563) and a 6–7 record — the other way to miss.

Won the draft: Seif. Kamara, Mixon, a rookie TE who looked like the best one ever, and Nabers on a Giants offense. Third seed, first on the board.
Lost the draft: Andy at 1.01, on the CMC medical, even though he still made the final. Tony at 1.02 is the record-and-finish version of the same sentence. Joel had the fewest draft-class points and the most points against.

The wire, the wallet, the trades
This was the active-trade year. Seven deals. The weekly notes called it a feature.

The waiver hits that actually mattered: Baker at $1 (PJ), Chase Brown (Andy — drafted 11.01, dropped after the slow start, then the RB1 in Cincinnati with 17.8 per game from week 4 on), Chuba Hubbard (Andy, $13), Bucky Irving (the other surprise RB). Seif’s Guerendo swing was the last-week headline.
Trades — seven of them, the messy ones:
- Week 5, Andy ↔ CJ: Andy got Amon-Ra and McBride. CJ got CMC, Jacobs, and Kelce, plus $10 FAAB. Andy paid real capital to move off the 1.01 corpse.
- Week 5, Andy ↔ Kris: Andy got Kelce and Aaron Jones. Kris got Kittle and Mooney. Kris’s “nice add via trade” in the obituaries is this one.
- Week 7, Jake ↔ CJ: Jake got CMC (the remains) and Otton. CJ got Montgomery and Addison. The CMC tour continued.
- Week 8, Andy ↔ PJ: Andy sent Mike Evans for Amari Cooper and Diontae Johnson. Cooper disappeared. Diontae got cut. The championship preview called it immediately. PJ’s Mayfield–Evans stack went to the final.
- Week 8, CJ ↔ PJ: PJ got Achane. CJ got DeVonta. The champ added another toy.
Andy built a finals team by trading the brand names and streaming the right RBs. PJ built a three-peat by collecting Evans and Achane and starting Baker for a dollar.
Playoffs (two-week rounds)
Semis in weeks 14–15, championship and 3rd place in 16–17. Seeds: PJ, Andy, Seif, Jake.

Jake won week 14 by 19 and still lost the series. Joel’s preview had PJ by 35; the two-week margin was 14. Andy’s week 15 (186.7) closed the other semi early. Neil’s preview had Seif 260–241. Seif got the 270. Andy just had 316.

The championship preview picked Andy 286–265. PJ won 287–258, and won both weeks. Henry and Chase were the original stack; Evans and Achane were the deadline stack; Baker was the dollar. Andy’s Chuba / Chase Brown / Lamar run was the other finals-worthy build. It lost to the three-peat.
Postseason games that were not in the money: Josh Allen 51.9 for Neil in week 14, JT 39.8 on CJ’s 183.8 in week 16, Joel putting up 594 consolation points while finishing 9th.
Slutler
Kris, again. The 2023–24 Slutler bounced back into the week-13 mix and then finished 8th. The 7–10 pool, weeks 14–17, with the posted penalties:

Last even before the −20. The later rules page uses this season as the example: Neil as the $100 winner (he led the 5–10 group after two weeks at 311), Kris as Slutler. Over the full four consolation weeks Joel actually scored the most of anyone, 594. Either way, the cake went to Kris.
Team portraits
PJ Hardcastle — 8===D — Champion
9–4, 1,733 PF, third straight title. Drafted Chase and Henry, bought Baker for a dollar, paid $56 for Chubb’s ghost, then collected Evans and Achane in week 8. Lost week 14 of the semis and won the series anyway. The championship preview said the lineup looked sus. The lineup went 287.
Andy — Mr. Turna 2-to-uh-4 — 2nd
First finals. Drafted CMC 1.01 and still got here, which is a magic trick. Lamar at 4.10 was the MVP. The waiver RBs (Chase Brown, Chuba) were the engine. The Evans trade was the scar. Week 15’s 186.7 was the loudest game of the postseason. The last two weeks were quieter.
Jake Bowen — Jahmyr We Go Again — 3rd
#4 seed by 2.18 points after losing to 3–10 on Thanksgiving. Gibbs made the team name. ETN at 2.01 made the letdown ballot. Won week 14 of the semis, lost the two-week, took 3rd when Tee Higgins went for 40 in week 17.
Matt Seifert — Wont you be my Nabers — 4th
Won the draft. 8–5, 1,707 PF, a week-2 170 and a week-11 176. Saved FAAB for Guerendo in week 13. Mixon on bye in the semis. The 3-seed that looked like a heavyweight in October and a depth chart in January.
Chris Johnson — Bubble Boy — 5th
2–6, then 5–0. Beat PJ by 51, beat Andy in week 13, stacked six wins, and lost a playoff seat by a catch on Monday night. The obituaries blamed the week he didn’t start a defense. The math blamed 2.18 points.
Pangy — Sweet Brotha Numpsay — 6th
Saquon was a weekly event (33, 34, 33, 46). Kyren and Stroud faded. 7–6 and a 150 in week 13 was not enough PF. Terry was the keeper note. The team that drafted like a playoff roster and finished next to one.
Neil Calvert — Josh Allen’s Fat Hog — 7th
Allen was a monster (51.9 in week 14). Godwin and Nico were not available. 6–7 with 1,563 PF — playoff scoring, not a playoff record. Lasted to the final two of the $50 survivor with Andy. The later rules page still has him winning the $100 consolation pool.
Kris Turner — Swift Love Kelce — Slutler
In the mix until week 13. Reed in the 8th was the snipe. Kittle via trade was the adult move. 6–7, then 450 consolation points, last in the pool. The 2023–24 Slutler, renewed. The notes asked if he could build on this to make the playoffs next year. He did. He also won the whole thing the year after that.
Joel Hernandez — Griddy Griddy Bang Bang — 9th
3–10, 1,764 PA. The roster on paper (Jefferson, Cook, BTJ, Pacheco when healthy) was not a 3–10 roster. The matchup luck was. Then he scored 594 in the consolation weeks, which is a very Joel way to finish 9th.
Tony Warner — LaPorta Potty — 10th
0–8. Bijan at 1.02. Tucker, the kicker you used to treat like a bye week. Two wins in the last three, including the Jake spoiler, which is the kind of ending that makes a 3–10 look like a choice. Voted most likely to fall asleep at the draft. The notes said be there next year, big dogg.
