Postseason Week 3 of 4

Championship Preview

PJ returns to the champenis-ship. Andy gets there for the first time (I think). Can Andy hold onto his #1 spot, after a scorching hot first two weeks of the playoffs?

Question: Will Mike Evans destroy Dave?

We cannot forget that Andy traded Mike Evans for Amari Cooper and Dionte Johnson, to PJ! Cooper has been a nobody and Diontae just got cut! PJ’s Mayfield-Evans stack put me to sleep last weekend. Could it be the kiss of death for Dave too?

Another intriguing matchup is in the Baltimore backfield, with Henry and Jackson. As we saw last night, every play that Baltimore runs seems to hang the matchup in the balance.

For Andy, waiver wire adds Chuba Hubbard and Chase Brown have been stellar. If they hold, these are the kind of moves we talk about when we talk about champions.

For PJ, he’s been in the mix all year long, riding Henry and Chase. That could be enough. But let’s not forget about acquiring Evans and Achane, while having the patience to wait for Hockenson to return to form (while getting by with the waiver add Njoku)

Prediction: Unless Mayfield and Evans can make it big, Andy wins his first championship and takes the belt home.

Andy: 286, PJ: 265

PJ’s lineup became a little sus over the last few weeks. DK is no longer a lineup lock. Breece Hall is in some weird rotation that will likely go through the last two weeks. And this doesn’t always translate in fantasy because of the scheme, but Ja’Marr faces PS2 next week, which should limit his ceiling, which PJ has ridden this season.

However, the Bucs face Dallas and New Orleans and should have plenty of opportunities to put together drives. That’s PJ’s formula for going back-to-back.

Looking at Andy’s lineup, I think “these guys have all been going good”, and that proved true the last two weeks when Andy went crazy to reach the ship. Sometimes it’s not the brand names that win it, but being with the right guys at the right time.
